In this collection of jazz tunes and standards, my long time pianist, Tomoko Ohno, and I explore the lyrical side of songs that expresses feelings encountered when experiencing loves heartbreak. Offerings, some well known and some obscure, include compositions by Rogers and Hart, Johnny Green, Duke Ellington, Billy Strayhorn, Charlie Parker and Bud Powell among others. The wonderful backdrops created by Tomoko make this an especially delightful collection. |

Jerry Vezza, an accomplished jazz pianist asked if I'd like to lead the vocals on this project. It's a wonderful recording with a relaxed ethereal feel.
