In this collection of jazz tunes and standards, my long time pianist, Tomoko Ohno, and I explore the lyrical side of songs that expresses feelings encountered when experiencing loves heartbreak. Offerings, some well known and some obscure, include compositions by Rogers and Hart, Johnny Green, Duke Ellington, Billy Strayhorn, Charlie Parker and Bud Powell among others. The wonderful backdrops created by Tomoko make this an especially delightful collection.

Jerry Vezza, an accomplished jazz pianist asked if I'd like to lead the vocals on this project. It's a wonderful recording with a relaxed ethereal feel. Joe Lang, past president of the new Jersey Jazz Society wrote of this work, “…Noviello’s vocal stylings, reminiscent of the legendary Jackie Paris, add a special dimension to this recording ...   studios of jazz pianist and engineer Rave Tessar and started playing our favorite
  standard and jazz tunes. At the end of three hours we picked out our favorites
  that appear on this CD.

A set of straight ahead jazz vocals with my working band at the time. Lots of soloing using my voice functioning as an “instrumental” partner with the rest of the group. The album features Tomoko Ohno on Piano, Ben Sewell on Bass, and Nick Schueble on Drums.
